Organizational Structure of Apple

Ref. (7)

From the organizational chart above (7), it is definitely obvious that it is a wide organizational structure. This would be because there are more people working on the same level of the hierarchy, than the number of levels in the hierarchy. There is definitely more people working in Apple than what is shown in the image above, since the ones in the image are the senior managers and leaders of the teams in the company. The only change to the hierarchy above would be that Steve Jobs is no longer the CEO of the company, and his position was taken over by Tim Cooks, who was the COO of the company when Steve Jobs was alive. Based on this organizational structure, I can deduce that each department is led by one person which is a little bit different to some other organizations, in which more than one person is in charge of a department, especially since it’s a huge department.
